Their player manager is a mate of mine and responsible for the phrase "cunt him in the bastard"

Yeah NS - my boys over there Sunday, been informed by the organiser that the 'East Stand' is longer accessible on health and safety grounds...think they've started the demolition job already - bit naughty considering the cost :-0

The Stadium has had more endings than Lotd of the Rings (one for the nerds there)

Re: The Final Goodbye - Fri 27th May
A few of my pals have just finished a game there this morning actually.

Their team is called Barking Rangers and the useless Bastards lost 5-3.

They're chuffed as fuck as were only invited last week after another team pulled out and a nice memory for them to go away with from the legendary stadium.

Sounds good. And another chance to hear bubbles ring out through the ground. Tingly just thinking about that for some reason. Emotional stuff.

Don't worry Jeff, It would only be a moaning minority that would mine if it was promoted by the club. Hope it goes well

Re: The Final Goodbye - Fri 27th May
Just to confirm that I am not expecting this to be mentioned on the club's site before the match as it is an annual event which has nothing to do with WHUFC.

Since the end of the season there have been several events at the stadium already and this is just another one.

Mr Polite 10:19 Mon May 23
Re: The Final Goodbye - Fri 27th May
Oh i agree it wasn't because it was the ladies - I just think it is a lot easier to moan about it because it is them and not a children's hospital.

If I was chairman, I'd have not bothered with the poll and just told the moaners to wipe their childish tears and fuck off if they don't like it.

Re: The Final Goodbye - Fri 27th May
This isn't being pushed by the club in the official site, or at least it wasn't, as their preferred "final game" despite promising the league game would be the final was a ridiculous ladies team versus a rag tag of YouTube stars and reality TV nob heads pulled together as the personal plaything of the chairman's son.

THAT is what triggered the reaction, not that it was the ladies team.

People weren't prepared to lap that up, so fair play to them. And if now people are returning Juve tickets as the "First Game" won't be the first hopefully the board will realise people are seeing through their bollocks finally.

What sad sods would vote against seeing sweaty knockers bouncy about?''

When you put it like that, you do have to wonder.

Re: The Final Goodbye - Fri 27th May
To be fair Johnson, putting so enough pressure on the club and chairman and his kid so they run a poll which even it was voted in favour of the game going ahead they still cancel it... I'd say it's pretty fair to call it 'outrage'.

But whatever you want to call it, it is childish and pathetic.

So this can be marketed as a final goodbye and it's ok, but ladies can't market it as last game?

It takes a very sad person to be bothered by either. I won't go again as the way the man Utd game went, it was the perfect send off. But why would it bother me what goes on there now? Will it take the shine off that last game? Of course it won't... But then I'm not a 12 year old twonk

Re: The Final Goodbye - Fri 27th May
Still a pathetic reason to get it stopped...... "because of the marketing'

RichyP 8:50 Mon May 23
Re: The Final Goodbye - Fri 27th May
It had nothing to do with who was playing, and everything to do with how the game was being marketed as the last ever game at the Boleyn. To focus on it being the ladies playing in an attempt to turn it into some kind if sexism agenda is twisting it a tad.
